How does the AI build my website?

You provide your LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, or other social profile URLs. Our AI analyses your profiles and generates a professional website with your bio, experience, portfolio, and contact information — all in under 5 minutes.

Can I get a website in Sinhala?

Yes! WebDev LK fully supports Sinhala content. You can have a bilingual English/Sinhala website or a fully Sinhala site. Our AI can generate and update content in Sinhala. Simply tell our AI what language you prefer.

What are the Free plan limits?

The Free plan includes one website on a webdev.lk subdomain, 3 AI-powered changes per day, and basic hosting. Custom domains, unlimited changes, priority support, and auto-maintenance are Pro features.

How much does Pro cost and how do I pay?

Pro costs LKR 1,000 per month or LKR 5,000 per year (save 58%). We accept bank transfers within Sri Lanka. Pay from any Sri Lankan bank account — ComBank, HNB, BOC, Peoples, NSB, and all others.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes, Pro plan users can connect a custom domain (e.g., yourbusiness.com). We provide DNS setup guidance and automatically provision free SSL certificates for your custom domain. No extra cost.

Do I need technical skills to use WebDev LK?

No technical skills required at all. No coding, no design tools, no hosting configuration. If you can use social media, you can use WebDev LK. Just connect your profiles and let AI do the work.

How do AI-powered changes work?

Simply tell our AI what you want changed. For example: "Update my bio to mention my new role", "Add a services section with 3 items", or "Change the colour scheme to blue". Our AI processes the change automatically. Free plan: 3 changes per day. Pro: unlimited changes.

Will my website have SSL/HTTPS?

Yes. All WebDev LK websites include free automatic SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt. Your site is always served over HTTPS whether you use a webdev.lk subdomain or a custom domain. Security is included for everyone.

Can I switch from Free to Pro later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade from Free to Pro at any time in your dashboard. Your site and all content remain intact. You immediately unlock unlimited AI changes, custom domains, priority support, and auto-maintenance.

Does WebDev LK support businesses across Sri Lanka?

Yes, we support businesses in Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, Kurunegala, Negombo, Batticaloa, and every city across Sri Lanka. Our platform is built for Sri Lankan professionals, with LKR pricing and local payment methods.

What happens to my site if I cancel Pro?

If you cancel Pro, your site continues to be hosted on a webdev.lk subdomain with Free plan limits (3 changes per day). Your custom domain will redirect to your subdomain unless you configure it otherwise. All your content is preserved.

Is my website backed up?

Yes, we maintain automatic backups and version history for all sites. Pro users can restore previous versions from the maintenance panel in their dashboard.

How do I contact support?

Will my free site be deleted if I don't log in?

Free accounts that go inactive are handled automatically, always with email notice first. After 4 days without logging in we email a warning; after 5 days your site is paused (logging in restores it instantly); after 7 days your site files are moved to a secure backup; and after 14 days the backup is permanently erased. You can restore your site any time before day 14 by logging in. Pro accounts are never removed due to inactivity.

Will I be emailed before my site is removed?

Yes — we send a warning email on day 4 of inactivity, and a removal notice with recovery instructions when your site is moved to backup on day 7. Please keep the email address on your account up to date and check your spam folder so you don't miss these.

Is my data used to train AI or sold to anyone?

No. We never sell your personal data, and we do not use your website content or personal data to train AI models. Your data is used only to build, host, and maintain your website, as described in our Privacy Policy.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

When you delete your account, your personal data and site files are deleted promptly. Backups are retained for up to 30 days and then permanently erased. Analytics and usage logs are pruned automatically on a rolling schedule.
