1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the WebDev LK platform ("the Service"), operated by KDJ Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes are announced by email at least 7 days before they take effect (see Section 10). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

WebDev LK is an AI-powered website builder that generates professional websites from the social media profile URLs you provide (LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, Facebook, and others) and your instructions. The Service includes:

  • AI-generated website creation based on provided social profiles
  • Free subdomain hosting (e.g., yoursite.webdev.lk)
  • Custom domain support (Pro plan)
  • Automated SSL certificate provisioning
  • AI-powered content updates and maintenance
  • Lead capture and analytics

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping the email address on your account current — important notices, including inactivity and policy-change notifications, are sent to that address.

4. Free and Pro Plans

WebDev LK offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Current prices are always shown on our pricing page and in your dashboard:

  • Free plan: AI website generation, a webdev.lk subdomain, 3 AI-powered changes per day, basic analytics, and lead capture — at no cost.
  • Pro plan: LKR 1,000 per month, or LKR 5,000 per year (save 58%). Includes unlimited AI changes, custom domain support, SSL, priority support, site backups, and auto-maintenance.
  • All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). We accept bank transfers within Sri Lanka.
  • Pro is billed per period by bank transfer — there is no automatic card billing. We email you before your period ends. After your paid period ends, Pro features continue for a 7-day grace period while you arrange renewal; if you do not renew, you are moved to the Free plan and Pro-only features (including custom domains) are disabled.
  • All Pro payments are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by Sri Lankan law. Please review the plan features carefully before paying.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI models hosted through Ollama Cloud (including DeepSeek models) to generate website content based on the profile URLs and instructions you provide. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publication.
  • You retain full ownership of your website content.
  • We use your content and personal data only to build, host, and maintain your website. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train our AI models.
  • We are not liable for any damages arising from AI-generated content on your site.
  • You must not use the Service to generate illegal, harmful, deceptive, or discriminatory content.

6. Intellectual Property

The WebDev LK platform, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of KDJ Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the platform. Content you provide (social profiles, images, text) remains your property, and you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of building and maintaining your website. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any unrelated purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Sri Lankan law, KDJ Lanka (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended use.

8. Termination

For violations: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in illegal activity, or if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your use of the Service is harmful to the platform or other users. Upon termination, your websites are taken offline.

Inactivity (Free plan only): To keep the Free plan available to active users, free accounts that go inactive are handled automatically — always with email notice first:

  • After 4 days without logging in, we email you a warning with the date your site will be paused.
  • After 5 days, your site is taken offline. Logging in restores it instantly.
  • After 7 days, your site files are removed from public hosting and moved to a secure backup, and we email you with recovery instructions.
  • After 14 days, the backup is permanently erased and your site can no longer be recovered.

You can restore your site at any point before day 14 by logging in and following the recovery prompt. Pro accounts are never suspended or removed due to inactivity. While your account is active, you can export your website files at any time (Pro plan).

9. Data and Privacy

We collect and use personal data only to provide and operate the Service for you. Specifically:

  • Your personal data and website content are used only to build, host, secure, and maintain your website, manage your account and billing, and respond to your requests.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
  • We do not use your website content or personal data to train our AI models, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing purposes.
  • To generate or update your website, the minimum necessary data (your profile URLs and your instructions) is shared with third-party AI providers, who process it under their own terms.
  • Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka.

10. Email Notifications

We send service-related emails to the address on your account, including account verification and security alerts, billing and renewal reminders, inactivity warnings before any site is paused or removed, and announcements of material changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy. Material changes are announced by email at least 7 days before they take effect. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and for checking these notifications.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, including the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
